The opening page has a new menu topic: “Guides”. If you click on “Guides” you will find practical guides to subjects that directly affect Participants. Right now, there are three topics: Employer Guide (explains the contribution process for employers), Medicare User Guide (explains how to coordinate PWGA health coverage with Medicare), and a Participant Guide (explains the workings of the pension and health plans). There will be more guides forthcoming, so you may want to revisit this area.
ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS
You can sign up to receive documents electronically. This is faster, and has the additional advantage of being available 24/7. In the amount of time it takes to click a mouse (as opposed to searching through file cabinets or requesting copies) you can have vital documents instantly available.
MEDICAL INSURANCE CARD
Ever get to the doctor’s office only to discover you’ve forgotten your insurance card? No problem. Log in to the website on your cell phone or a laptop. Click on “Details”. Click on “View Medical ID Card”. Voila! You can now show your medical provider your healthcare card.
